Let's suppose that you are the manager of a large company and you need to keep track of all inventory items. But using specialized programs can help you in this matter. One program for keeping track of inventory items is Inventory Manager. This simple Windows application allows you to view your company's complete inventory list and allows organizing all the inventory items, helping you know at any moment what piece of inventory your company has.

Being a Windows application, it's not difficult to install and can be used with great ease. Installing the program requires having SQL Express installed in the operating system. If the installer doesn't detect SQL, it will automatically download and install it.

The interface of Inventory Manager includes six graphical buttons for accessing its features. These buttons allow creating and managing inventory types, items and also checking in and out items. Creating inventory types it's very useful in case there are numerous items in the program's database. Having them all organized in several types will allow the user to quickly find a certain item. Speaking about inventory items, these can be created using various information, like the name, description, bar code, price and also an image of the item.

Finding a certain item to be checked out is not a problem, as the user can only enter a part of its name and Inventory Manager will quickly find it. The same goes for checking in inventory items. For allowing the user to easily see what items are checked out, the program includes a report feature, which displays all the checked out inventory items in a list, together with complete information regarding each of them. There is also a check out history feature available, which displays a list of checked out items over time.

Pros:
It allows storing an unlimited number of inventory items and can organize them all into several types. Besides that, checked out reports can be generated, listing all the checked out inventory items together with their complete information.

Cons:
The program requires SQL Express to be installed into the system, otherwise it will not work.
